This is a family-run port wine producer based in Vila Nova da Gaia and the Douro Valley of Portugal. Descended from six generations of Douro producers, Johnny Graham founded his own Churchill's port winery in 1981 at just 29 years old. He dedicated himself to bring a unique style to be called his own, by creating a fresh vibe to the traditional world of port yet maintaining elegance, freshness and keeping as natural as possible with minimal intervention. Since then, the winery has produced a world-class roster of vintage ports, ruby and wood aged selections too, all of which, started from their beloved vineyard in Quinta da Gricha, truly reflect the Douro terroir and capturing the spirit of the region.
Tasting Note:
Bright, full ruby colour with violet tones. Fresh blueberries and hints of eucalyptus and gum cistus. A vibrant young port with plenty of natural acidity and balance.
Food Pairing:
Delicious on its own or as a pairing with fruit, chocolate desserts or soft cheeses. Serve at cellar temperature (12º-14ºC).
