Glenfarclas Distillery is a family-owned whisky distillery in Scotland. It produces single malt Scotch whisky with a heavy sherry influence. It has been operating since 1836 and has a rich history and tradition. In 1865, it is taken over and managed by the Grant family since.
Located in the Speyside region, in the valley of the green grass, the distiller has six stills, which are the largest on Speyside, and they are heated directly by gas burners.
Tasting Notes:
With 100% Oloroso Sherry Cask maturation, Glenfarclas 12 Years Old is a single malt whisky that has a rich sherry influence. A vibrant, amber-gold whisky releasing aromatic nose of honey, toasted barley, candied berries and hints of smoke, oak, and pine resin. On the palate, it is full-bodied with notes of banana bread, melted butter, vanilla, caramel, spice, date and walnut cake, delicious touch of sweetness with a whiff of pleasant smoke. Long and flavoursome finishing with lingering spiceness.
