About Tasya's Reserve:
It is a series of wines named after the founder's first grand-daughter, Anastasya. The founder, Mr CK Chan, expressed his aspiration and commitment to establish the family's legacy starting with this series of wines, which focuses on perfecting single variety wines that truly reflect the terroirs of Shanxi & Ningxia. The wines are aged in one year old barrels for a minimum period of 12 months.
About Marselan Grape Variety:
A French variety that is a cross breed of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, first bred by Paul Truel in 1961 around the French town of Marseillan, hence the name. The vine thrives very well, with quality and commercial success in south of France Languedoc region, Northern Coast of California, and especially in the Shanxi and Ningxia wine producing regions of China. Marselan grapes usually produce dense wines and highly aromatic with very strong potential to age well.
Tasting Note :
Dark red with crimson hue. Upfront notes of blue fruits & red/black currant, mulberry, cherry and touch of herbs. On the palate, it repeats the aroma. The tannins are fine and balance with great amount of natural acidity. The 2018 are quite rich but not overpowering reflects the harvest of the year.
