Produced with whole goat's milk, the cheese developed a natural hard rind with an inner texture that is smooth, firm and at times crumbly. Significantly rich, full-flavored goat's milk taste and touch of sweetness that balances of the soft acidity. In fact this Picodon de La Drome usually exhibits the softest acidity as compared to the Picodons of other designated commune. Pairs perfectly with the Southern Rhone famed Chateauneuf-du-Pape or the dry white of Roussane/Marsanne blend. Else mixed with a bowl of salad & splash of extra virgin olive oil for that lovely light meal.
