The Story behind the Wine :
The Showdown range is inspired by the Poker nicknames of different cards, beginning with a Cabernet Sauvignon from California where “Cab is King”. Since then, the range has expanded to show both typical Californian varieties and the more unusual cultivars found in the region, all under contemporary, playing card inspired labels.
Grapes are grown on old vines in the heart of the Lodi region of central California. Gentle pressing gives a delicate pink colour and releases all the grapes’ delightful fruit flavours. Vinification in stainless steel keeps these flavours bright and expressive.
