The Story behind the Wine :
Made by Boutinot, our winemaking team have been building relationships across Chile over the past two decades, sourcing fruit and wine from across the Central Valleys. We work with a number of small family growers who pay particular attention to quality and ensure that our winemaking team has the best possible fruit to work with. Freshness and purity are the preferred hallmarks of Boutinot's Chilean wines.
Each vintage Boutinot winemaker Guillaume Letang travels the vineyards of our grower partners, blending that year's truest expression's of Chile's unique terroirs.
The winery we work with has great vineyards in Curico and Casablanca and our wine is a blend of the two. Casablanca is famed for its white wines, and here the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean is significant, particularly in the evenings where cool air flows uninterruptedly into the valley. Typically, Chardonnay from the area has nice acidity and texture. Central Curico is a haven for most varieties and here Chardonnay enjoys the warm, stable climate ripening fully to give tropical fruit characteristics to our blend.
