Zenato Winery is an Italian winery located in San Benedetto di Lugana, Italy. The winery was founded by Sergio Zenato and his wife, Carla, in 1960.

The winery owns almost 100 hectares of vineyards in regions of Lugana and Valpolicella, flourishing on the ideal morainic soil and the mild climatic conditions. The winery produces high-quality wines that are born through a visceral passion for the land, with immense respect for family tradition, especially fervently championing the love for native Italian grape varieties for more than 60 years.

The winery’s most famous creation is all their Amarone wines, notably the Riserva Sergio Zenato, which is crafteded only using top vintages from best parcel of lands that produces from a selection of Corvina and Rondinella grapes, grown in the oldest vineyards of Sant’Ambrogio in Valpolicella Classico (original zone).

All the wines made by Zenato reflect the very identity of this brilliant winery, truly reflecting the "taste" of their land, the region, tradition and culture, cementing Zenato's legacy throughout the world.

Tasting Note :
The jewel of Zenato’s production, this wine is made from a selection of top grapes from Valpolicella Classica grown in Sant’Ambrogio township (Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta, and Croatina).

The grapes are dried for 4 months and crushing is not carried out until January. Slow fermentation with skin contact follows and then the wine is aged for 36 months in large-format Slavonian casks.

It is then aged in bottle before being released. This is a majestic wine, intense, and ethereal, with notes of bay leaf and distillate-cured cherries. The impressive balance between all its com-ponents makes it ideal for long-term aging.

Food Pairing :
Recommended with roasted meat, grilled meat, game and mature cheeses.
